Treasury Assistant – Dubai

About the role

The Treasury Assistant will support the treasury function of a global metals trading company, focusing on cash management, banking administration and payment processing for its African operations, especially within the CEMAC region. The role is based in Dubai and requires regular travel to the Republic of Congo for official visits.

Key responsibilities

• Support daily cash management, payment processing, bank reconciliations and cash reporting.
• Monitor bank balances, assist with liquidity reporting and short‑term cash forecasting.
• Process domestic and international payments and liaise with banks to resolve issues.
• Maintain banking records, KYC documentation, mandates and authorized signatory files.
• Assist with bank account openings, amendments and closures.
• Coordinate with finance teams and banking partners across Africa and Dubai.
• Execute treasury activities in CEMAC countries, ensuring compliance with payment and regulatory documentation.
• Support BEAC foreign‑exchange controls and prepare documentation for international transfers.
• Test payment files, improve treasury systems and banking platforms.
• Contribute to month‑end, audit and treasury reporting activities.

Required profile

• 2–5 years of experience in treasury, cash management, banking operations or finance.
• Experience with banks in Central Africa, particularly the Republic of Congo, is highly desirable.
• Practical knowledge of BEAC exchange‑control requirements and international payment documentation.
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Banking or Business Administration.
• Fluency in English and French.
• Strong analytical, organizational and communication abilities.
