Supplier Quality Engineer

About the role

Autoliv is seeking a Supplier Quality Engineer to ensure the highest quality standards for its automotive safety components. You will work closely with suppliers to drive continuous improvement and support new product launches.

Key responsibilities

• Manage supplier quality performance and lead continuous improvement initiatives.
• Qualify, evaluate, and approve suppliers according to company and customer standards.
• Conduct supplier audits covering process, product, and system aspects.
• Monitor supplier KPIs, quality trends, and corrective actions.
• Lead issue resolution, containment, and corrective action processes.
• Perform root‑cause analysis using 8D, 5 Why, Ishikawa, PDCA.
• Support APQP activities and approve PPAP submissions.
• Review quality documentation such as PFMEA, Control Plans, SPC, MSA, and capability studies.
• Assess supplier risks and implement development plans.
• Ensure compliance with IATF 16949, customer‑specific requirements, and internal standards.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or higher.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in the automotive industry.
• Experience in Supplier Quality Management, APQP, PPAP, PFMEA, Control Plan, SPC, MSA, and statistical analysis.
• Knowledge of IATF 16949 and customer‑specific requirements.
• Supplier auditing experience (VDA 6.3 preferred).
• Proficiency with problem‑solving methodologies: 8D, 5 Why, PDCA, Ishikawa.
• Fluent in English and French.
