Summer 2026 Internship – AI‑Driven Automation of Project Extractor Validation

About the role

Join STMicroelectronics for a Summer 2026 internship focused on building an AI‑powered automated validation framework for the ProjectExtractor utility. You will work with cutting‑edge tools such as ChatGPT, Python, and Robot Framework to streamline extraction, build, modification, and export processes across multiple IDEs.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement an automation framework that uses ChatGPT to list available examples and supported IDEs (GCC, EWARM, Open‑CMSIS).
• Store extracted information in JSON files and automate validation workflows for each example/IDE combination.
• Load, extract, modify, and export projects in MX2, then build them for targeted IDEs (CMake, Open‑CMSIS, EWARM).
• Ensure the framework is robust, scalable, and provides clear, actionable validation results.

Required profile

• Strong academic background in Software Engineering with knowledge of object‑oriented programming and scripting.
• Experience in embedded software development and familiarity with STM32 microcontroller architecture.
• Solid programming and scripting skills in Python, VBScript, or Shell.
• Knowledge of GUI test automation tools such as Robot Framework or Selenium.
• Experience with software configuration management and issue‑tracking tools (Git, JIRA, Gerrit).
• Excellent documentation, writing, and reporting abilities.
• Proficiency in French and English.
