Specialist Technician – Quality Laboratory

About the role

We are looking for a Specialist Technician – Quality Laboratory to join our automotive wiring systems division in Tunisia. The role supports the development and maintenance of laboratory procedures, ensuring that all test equipment is calibrated, maintained and compliant with internal and customer standards.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and update country‑specific and internal laboratory work instructions.
• Register new laboratory equipment and monitor calibration intervals.
• Perform internal calibrations and coordinate external calibration services.
• Carry out preventive and corrective maintenance of lab equipment, either directly or through external providers.
• Support laboratory reporting and ensure compliance with key performance indicators.
• Verify calibration certificates from external providers and manage re‑qualification processes.
• Execute laboratory tests, evaluate results against customer specifications and LEONI standards, and communicate any non‑conformities.
• Assess re‑qualification tests for production equipment and identify affected materials in case of defects.
• Continuously optimise calibration activities to minimise costs.

Required profile

• University degree in any discipline.
• Minimum 1 year of experience in a quality or laboratory environment.
• Strong communication, intercultural sensitivity and ability to work in a team.
• Knowledge of adult learning concepts and training management is a plus.
