Software Engineer (Native SDKs)

About the role

Storyteller is looking for a Software Engineer to work on its native iOS and Android SDKs. You will build and ship features that enable major sports and media brands to embed interactive Stories in their apps, using AI‑assisted development.

Key responsibilities

• Design, implement, and ship SDK features end‑to‑end, from problem definition to testing and refinement.
• Improve performance, reliability, and developer ergonomics across the native SDKs.
• Debug complex integration issues using logs, diagnostics, and hypothesis‑driven investigation.
• Enhance documentation, code examples, and integration guides to streamline partner onboarding.

Required profile

• 2–4 years of hands‑on experience building production mobile apps or SDKs in Swift (iOS) or Kotlin (Android).
• Proactive mindset with the ability to anticipate problems and propose simple, pragmatic solutions.
• Comfortable using AI tools as a default part of the development workflow.
• Strong communication skills for remote collaboration and clear documentation.

Required skills

• Swift (iOS) or Kotlin (Android) programming.
• Experience with native mobile SDK development and modern build tooling.
• Understanding of APIs, HTTP, mobile app lifecycles, performance optimization, and automated testing.
