Senior Project Associate

About the role

The International Organization for Migration (IOM) in Tunisia is seeking a Senior Project Associate to support the Regular Pathways portfolio. Working under the Chief of Mission and the Migration and Development Unit, you will help coordinate, monitor and govern projects that promote fair and sustainable labour migration.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in planning, coordination, implementation and monitoring of project activities.
• Compile, summarise, analyse and present data on specific project topics.
• Monitor budget implementation and propose adjustments as needed.
• Act as the focal point for administrative coordination, liaising with internal units and external partners.
• Draft status reports, correspondence, briefing notes, graphics and statistical tables.
• Organise meetings, workshops and training sessions, prepare materials and deliver capacity‑building workshops.
• Respond to complex information requests and maintain accurate project files and records.
• Participate in meetings, conferences and maintain liaison with local authorities, UN agencies and other stakeholders.

Required profile

• Proven experience in planning, coordinating, implementing and monitoring development projects.
• Strong analytical abilities to compile and interpret project data.
• Experience monitoring project budgets and suggesting adjustments.
• Excellent administrative coordination skills with the ability to work across multiple organisational units.
• High‑level written communication skills for drafting reports, briefings and correspondence.
• Experience organising and facilitating meetings, workshops and training events.
• Ability to handle complex information requests and maintain comprehensive records.
• Demonstrated capacity to liaise effectively with local authorities, partners and UN agencies.
