Senior Infrastructure, Backup & Virtualization Engineer (Contract)

About the role

We are seeking a senior engineer to design, implement, administer and optimise enterprise infrastructure for a leading telecommunications client. The role focuses on IBM Power Systems, VMware virtualisation and Veritas NetBackup appliances, and will be performed remotely on a contract basis.

Key responsibilities

• Administer and maintain VMware vSphere environments.
• Deploy, configure and support Veritas NetBackup appliances.
• Define and implement backup and recovery strategies.
• Support IBM Power Systems operations and perform disaster‑recovery testing.
• Monitor infrastructure health, performance and capacity.
• Produce technical documentation and support migration/modernisation projects.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in enterprise infrastructure.
• Strong expertise in VMware vSphere, Veritas NetBackup and IBM Power Systems.
• Fluent French.
• Relevant certifications: IBM Power, VMware VCP (preferred), Veritas NetBackup.
