Reporting Engineer – Private Banking Reporting Solutions

About the role

We are seeking a Reporting Engineer to design, develop, and maintain reporting solutions for our Private Banking division. The role works with two main platforms – a Microsoft Access/VBA/C# environment for highly customized reports and a BusinessObjects/Crystal Reports/Oracle/Java stack for high‑volume reporting.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and support complex Microsoft Access reports and Crystal Reports used in private banking.
• Write, optimise, and troubleshoot advanced SQL queries for financial and portfolio data extraction.
• Develop and maintain VBA and Java code that implements business logic, calculations, and report automation.
• Build and maintain C# and Java applications that support reporting workflows.
• Produce portfolio valuation, account statement, and performance/return reports.
• Analyse and resolve customer issues via JIRA tickets, providing second‑ and third‑level support.
• Interact directly with private bankers, operations, and support teams to clarify requirements and explain technical outcomes.
• Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and reliability in all delivered reports.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of reporting tools and support processes.

Required profile

• Proven experience developing and maintaining complex reporting solutions, preferably in banking or financial services.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities with a high level of autonomy.
• Excellent attention to detail, especially when handling financial data.
• Solid testing skills, including designing and executing test cases for report validation.
• Ownership mindset and responsibility for incident resolution.
