Project Lead – DAPP Technical Senior Expert

About the role

The Danish Refugee Council is seeking a senior professional to lead the Danish Arab Partnership Programme (DAPP) in Tunisia. The Project Lead will act as the main liaison between the DAPP secretariat and implementing partners, ensuring coordinated, impactful, and efficient programme delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the inception phase, fine‑tuning approaches for all five DAPP outputs in Tunisia.
• Support the selection of strategic partners and coordinate programme delivery with in‑country partners.
• Oversee budget expenditures, advise on reallocations, and report financial and activity progress to the DAPP secretariat.
• Develop and implement the DAPP Tunisia exit strategy in collaboration with partners and stakeholders.
• Design and apply country‑level MEAL tools, ensuring quality assurance and reporting to the secretariat.
• Coordinate learning and knowledge sharing across Tunisia and other DAPP countries.
• Advise partners on gender‑equality integration and ensure inclusion in programming.
• Organise regular coordination meetings with partners, regional coordinators, and strategic stakeholders.
• Represent the programme to national and local authorities in close alignment with DRC Country Director.

Required profile

• Minimum 10 years of experience in international development cooperation and institutional development.
• Strong knowledge of human‑rights standards and their practical implementation.
• Proven experience coordinating multi‑partner programmes and managing budgets.
• Excellent stakeholder engagement and representation skills at policy‑making level.
• Ability to develop exit strategies and ensure gender‑responsive programming.
