Precertification Junior Assessor

About the role

The Precertification Junior Assessor supports the processing of medical precertification requests and claims, ensuring eligibility decisions are made accurately and within defined timeframes. Working in a 24/7, shift‑based environment, the role involves frequent interaction with healthcare providers and internal teams.

Key responsibilities

• Assess and process precertification requests and claims against medical and policy criteria.
• Handle incoming calls and emails from providers, clarifying medical information and explaining coverage decisions.
• Coordinate daily workflow with colleagues and other departments to meet deadlines and maintain high service levels.
• Identify and report issues, errors, or unusual cases and suggest improvements to processes and tools.
• Maintain accurate records in the system while complying with operational standards and regulatory requirements.
• Utilise AI‑driven tools, data analytics and cloud‑based platforms responsibly, adhering to data governance and security standards.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Anesthesia and Intensive Care or a closely related field, with at least 2 years of clinical experience.
• Minimum 1 year of claims or precertification experience in an insurance or TPA environment.
• Fluent verbal and written communication in French, English and Arabic.
• Proven ability to work accurately under pressure, meet tight deadlines and handle confidential information.
• Strong collaborative and service‑focused attitude.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook and PowerPoint.
