Painter – Temporary Assignment

About the role

The Painter will maintain the appearance and condition of the hotel's interior and exterior surfaces. This full‑time, temporary position involves painting, touch‑ups, wall repairs, and decorative finishes across guest rooms, public areas, and back‑of‑house facilities.

Key responsibilities

• Respond to and fulfill hotel painting requests promptly.
• Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, filling cracks and applying primers.
• Apply paint, stain, varnish, and finishes to walls, ceilings, doors, furniture and other surfaces.
• Perform touch‑up painting in guest rooms, corridors, lobbies, restaurants and meeting areas.
• Coordinate work schedules to minimise disruption to guests and hotel operations.
• Assist the Engineering/Maintenance team with general maintenance tasks as needed.
• Follow all safety, security and environmental policies, report hazards and store flammable materials properly.

Required profile

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Some experience in general maintenance, surface preparation and painting; hotel engineering experience is a plus.
• No supervisory experience required.
• Valid driver’s licence.

Required skills

• Surface preparation (cleaning, sanding, crack filling, priming).
• Painting, staining and varnishing.
• Use of hand tools such as brushes, rollers and sanders.
