Mobile Software Engineer (iOS/Android SDK)

About the role

Storyteller is looking for a Mobile Software Engineer to work on its native iOS and Android SDKs. You will build and ship features that enable major sports and media brands to embed fast, beautiful Stories into their apps, using AI tools to design, develop, and refine solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Design, implement, and ship SDK features end‑to‑end, often with AI assistance.
• Improve performance, reliability, and developer ergonomics across the native SDKs.
• Debug complex integration issues using logs, diagnostics, and hypothesis‑driven testing.
• Collaborate with Product and Delivery teams to understand real customer use‑cases and propose simple, pragmatic solutions.
• Enhance documentation, code examples, and integration guides to improve developer experience.

Required profile

• 2–4 years of hands‑on experience building production mobile apps or SDKs in Swift or Kotlin.
• Strong knowledge of iOS (Swift) or Android (Kotlin) modern frameworks and build tooling.
• Proactive mindset with the ability to anticipate problems and propose solutions.
• Comfortable adopting AI‑assisted coding as a default workflow.
• Clear reasoning, good communication skills, and reliability in remote collaboration.

Required skills

• Swift (iOS) or Kotlin (Android) development.
• Experience with mobile SDKs, APIs, and HTTP communication.
• Understanding of mobile app lifecycles, performance testing, and automated testing.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and versioning for library distribution.
