Mechanical Design Engineer

About the role

We are a Spanish offshore company with an industrial plant in Tunisia, specializing in testing and validation of electrical automotive harnesses. We are expanding our design team and looking for a Mechanical Design Engineer with strong SolidWorks expertise to develop mechanical components and assemblies.

Key responsibilities

• Design and develop mechanical parts and assemblies using SolidWorks.
• Create detailed 2D/3D drawings and accompanying technical documentation.
• Collaborate with production and project teams to ensure designs meet functional and quality requirements.
• Participate in design reviews and propose innovative optimisation solutions.
• Ensure compliance with engineering standards and safety regulations.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• Proven experience as a mechanical designer or engineer.
• Strong problem‑solving abilities, attention to detail and creativity.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
• Willingness to work remotely or travel to other locations when required.

Required skills

• SolidWorks (3D modelling, drawings, assemblies, simulations).
