Lead Engineer – Controls Engineering

About the role

The Lead Engineer – Controls Engineering is responsible for guaranteeing the performance, budget, schedule and quality of design work in high‑voltage and HVDC substation projects. You will ensure reliability, efficiency and regulatory compliance while promoting ease of installation, operation and maintenance.

Key responsibilities

• Design high‑voltage and HVDC substations, ensuring compliance with industry and protection standards.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary engineering teams and support continuous‑improvement initiatives.
• Manage detailed execution progress and coordinate delivery of engineering documentation for procurement, manufacturing and site erection.
• Oversee full‑set design packages in EPC projects, handling complex internal and supplier interfaces.
• Identify and mitigate technical, financial and commercial risks and opportunities.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited institution.
• Minimum 3 years of engineering experience in HV substation, power generation or oil & gas EPC environments.
• Familiarity with project technical management processes and multi‑disciplinary team coordination.
• Fluent English communication skills.
• Willingness to travel worldwide and work on‑site for short or medium periods.
