Launch Engineer – Trim

About the role

Lear Corporation is seeking a Launch Engineer for its Trim plant in Menzel Bourguiba, Tunisia. The role leads new program introductions from planning through execution, coordinating cross‑functional teams to ensure operational readiness, quality, cost and delivery targets are met.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain program/project schedules, including macro and micro activities.
• Configure and manage the LPMP system for all new program launches.
• Track RFQs and ECNs in the PLM system and generate ECRs for launch changes.
• Collaborate with SSD/CFD and Trim engineering teams to resolve issues and meet deadlines.
• Organize meetings, provide action plans and update management on progress.
• Lead pre‑production activities, ensure delivery of pre‑series tools/materials, and manage ramp‑up, ramp‑down and end‑of‑life plans.
• Monitor project budget, cash impact and material obsolescence.
• Support certification compliance (IATF/VDA) and KPI monitoring.

Required profile

• Engineering degree or equivalent.
• Minimum 4 years of experience in a similar automotive launch role.
• Strong organizational and planning abilities.
• Experience working in cross‑functional, matrix environments.
• Proven team‑management experience.
• Fluent communication in French and English.

Required skills

• Proficiency with MS Project.
• Experience using PLM systems.
• Experience with LPMP system configuration.
• Knowledge of IATF/VDA certification requirements.
