Laboratory Engineer

About the role

FRESENIUS KABI is seeking a Laboratory Engineer to lead and support daily laboratory operations at its Beni Khalled site. The role combines technical expertise in microbiology with strong leadership to ensure high‑quality testing and compliance with regulatory standards.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise, organize and support daily laboratory activities and personnel.
• Lead laboratory upgrades, technology transfers, implementation and validation projects.
• Perform and validate microbiological tests such as bioburden, biological indicators, sterility testing and bacterial endotoxin testing (BET).
• Conduct differentiation and detection of pathogenic microorganisms.
• Oversee particle determination, environmental monitoring, water‑system control and sterilization validation.
• Prepare and review test plans, protocols and reports in line with QMS requirements.
• Review and approve out‑of‑specification/out‑of‑trend (OOS/OOT) events and related quality records.
• Investigate root causes, implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) and train staff on SOPs and laboratory policies.
• Participate in cross‑functional projects and support site initiatives while ensuring safety compliance and risk assessments.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of experience in a related laboratory or engineering role.
• Engineering degree in Microbiology, Biology, Chemistry or an equivalent field.
• Fluent in English with professional, reliable work attitude.
• Strong leadership, organizational and communication skills.
• Solid experience with microbiological methods and regulatory compliance.
