Junior Mechanical Engineer

About the role

RIDA Technical Services is seeking a Junior Mechanical Engineer to join its Tunis office. This full‑time, on‑site position supports the design, analysis, and implementation of mechanical systems for oil, gas, energy, and industrial projects.

Key responsibilities

• Assist senior engineers with mechanical design and analysis activities.
• Prepare 2D drawings and 3D models of components and assemblies using CAD tools.
• Contribute to the development and modification of mechanical systems and components.
• Support R&D tasks by collecting technical data, performing calculations, and evaluating new technologies and materials.
• Participate in design reviews and ensure compliance with safety, quality, and industry standards.
• Prepare technical documentation and coordinate with cross‑functional teams.
• Help implement and troubleshoot mechanical solutions in the field.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related discipline.
• Solid foundation in core mechanical engineering principles.
• Experience or strong interest in research and development activities.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, standards, and specifications.
• Effective communication and teamwork skills in a multidisciplinary environment.
• Attention to detail, problem‑solving mindset, and commitment to safety and ethical practices.
• Familiarity with oil, gas, or industrial environments is a plus.

Required skills

• Computer‑Aided Design (CAD) for 2D drafting and 3D modeling.
• Machine design for components and systems.
• Basic stress analysis and material selection.
