HR Generalist – Learning & Development

About the role

The HR Generalist will act as a strategic and operational partner for Mazarine Energy’s Tunisia branch, focusing on learning and development, organizational effectiveness, talent retention, employee engagement, and health & wellbeing. Working in a highly regulated oil & gas environment, the role ensures compliance with Tunisian labour law and industry HSSE standards while translating people strategy into concrete programs.

Key responsibilities

• Design, implement and evaluate training programs covering technical, managerial, soft‑skill and HSSE competencies.
• Support the HR & Communication Manager in creating the annual Training & Development plan aligned with business objectives and regulatory requirements.
• Conduct needs analyses, source accredited providers, manage logistics and track certification renewals.
• Maintain a comprehensive training catalogue, update individual development plans in the HRIS, and produce regular compliance and utilization reports.
• Collaborate with line managers as a trusted advisor to drive continuous improvement of HR practices.

Required profile

• Proven experience in HR generalist or L&D roles within a regulated industry, preferably oil & gas.
• Strong knowledge of Tunisian labour legislation and HSSE regulations.
• Ability to work autonomously, lead cross‑functional initiatives and influence stakeholders.
• Excellent communication and analytical skills.
