Group Legal Counsel

About the role

Ericsson is seeking a Group Legal Counsel to join its East & North Africa legal team. You will provide strategic legal support across commercial, regulatory, governance and compliance matters, helping the business grow while protecting its interests.

Key responsibilities

• Act as a trusted legal advisor, delivering practical guidance for high‑value customer, supplier and partnership agreements.
• Lead negotiations and support complex contracts, corporate transactions and cross‑border deals.
• Identify, assess and mitigate legal and business risks in areas such as data protection, competition law, intellectual property, sanctions and trade controls.
• Advise on corporate governance, regulatory compliance and dispute resolution.
• Build strong relationships with business units, functions and geographies to foster collaboration.
• Contribute to capability building through coaching, mentoring and knowledge sharing.

Required profile

• Qualified lawyer with at least 7 years of experience in a leading law firm or multinational in‑house legal department.
• Strong background in commercial, corporate, regulatory and compliance matters.
• Proven ability to support complex contracts, negotiations and cross‑border business activities.
• Excellent communication, negotiation and stakeholder‑management skills.
• Independent work style with the capacity to influence senior stakeholders.
• Experience in the technology or telecommunications sector is a plus.
• Growth mindset, sound judgment, integrity and a commitment to high‑quality legal support.
