General Manager

About the role

The General Manager will lead the full project lifecycle of a power‑plant development, from Limited Notice to Proceed (LNTP) through to Commercial Operation Date (COD). This senior position is responsible for interpreting and managing all project agreements and ensuring successful delivery in line with contractual targets.

Key responsibilities

• Drive the project lifecycle from LNTP to COD, coordinating all phases of construction.
• Review, interpret and manage project agreements such as PPA, NCC, EPC, O&M, OE, IE, MSA and related licensing.
• Plan, organize, coordinate and control project implementation to meet quality, schedule and budget requirements.
• Ensure execution complies with EPC contract terms, Good Engineering and Construction Practices, and avoids lost‑time incidents, severe injuries or fatalities.
• Oversee the EPC contractor’s health, safety and environmental measures on site, accountable for HSSE results.
• Report construction progress to the Board of Directors.

Required profile

• Extensive experience managing large‑scale construction projects, preferably in the power‑generation sector.
• Strong ability to interpret complex contractual documents and ensure compliance.
• Proven track record of delivering projects on time, within budget and to high quality standards.
• Demonstrated leadership in health, safety, security and environmental (HSSE) management.

Required skills

• In‑depth knowledge of project agreements such as Power Purchase Agreements (PPA), EPC contracts, Operations & Maintenance (O&M) contracts, and related licensing.
• Expertise in project planning, scheduling and budget control.
• Capability to enforce Good Engineering and Construction Practices.
• Leadership in HSSE implementation and monitoring.
