Expert(e) pédagogique national(e) – Éducation de la petite enfance

About the role

UNICEF is seeking a senior national pedagogical expert to lead the technical and operational coordination of a pilot phase for a new early‑childhood teaching kit in Tunisia. The consultant will work remotely for a 12‑month fixed‑term contract, supporting educators of preparatory classes (age 5).

Key responsibilities

• Provide technical assistance and quality monitoring during the pilot, finalisation and deployment preparation of a pedagogical kit comprising six guides.
• Coordinate multi‑stakeholder activities, including public institutions and international partners.
• Collect and analyse field data, produce analytical reports and recommendations.
• Design and deliver adult‑training sessions and facilitate workshops for teachers.
• Develop and revise practical tools, presentation materials and guidance documents.

Required profile

• University degree in education sciences, pedagogy, didactics, child psychology or a related field.
• Minimum 20 years of relevant experience, with proven expertise in preschool/pre‑primary education and classroom practice support.
• Demonstrated competence in pedagogical engineering, development of guides, active child‑centred and inclusive teaching approaches.
• Strong abilities in planning, multi‑actor coordination, data collection, analytical reporting, workshop facilitation and communication.
• Fluency in Arabic and French; experience collaborating with public institutions and international organisations is highly desirable.
