Deputy Production Manager

About the role

We are looking for a dynamic and results-driven Deputy Production Manager to support and optimize our production operations. In this role, you will ensure operational excellence, high‑quality standards, and continuous improvement while leading teams in a fast‑paced automotive environment.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise, guide, and motivate production teams to achieve operational goals while ensuring discipline, cleanliness, and schedule compliance.
• Coordinate daily production activities to meet quality and quantity targets, monitor KPIs, and achieve 100% performance in minutes and PPM objectives.
• Collaborate closely with the Quality Department to ensure flawless output.
• Ensure compliance with production standards and safety, participate in internal and external audits, and maintain audit readiness.
• Track daily, weekly, and monthly production data, prepare reports, dashboards, and statistics for management, and monitor production cost centers to support budget control.
• Contribute to reducing additional costs and quality‑related losses, supporting planning, monitoring, and adherence to annual production budgets.
• Oversee accurate shift data (including bonus calculations), organize and allocate tasks efficiently, and apply disciplinary actions when necessary in alignment with management.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in the automotive industry.
• Strong leadership and organizational skills.
• Advanced proficiency in English.
• Solid computer skills (Excel, reporting tools, ERP systems).

Required skills

• German language skills.
• Knowledge of VDA 6.3 standards.
• Experience with FMEA and PLP methodologies.
