CNC Machinist – Level I

About the role

Pursuit Aerospace is seeking a Level I CNC Machinist to join its Megrine, Ben Arous facility. The role involves operating and setting up CNC machines to produce high‑precision aircraft engine components in a fast‑paced, cellular manufacturing environment.

Key responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC machines according to pre‑developed programs, fixtures, and methods.
• Make edits and adjustments to meet work order, blueprint, and sketch specifications.
• Operate multiple machines within a cellular layout as required.
• Apply knowledge of feeds, speeds, and cutting tools to achieve optimal machining results.
• Inspect finished parts for dimensional accuracy using precision measuring instruments.
• Complete paperwork for counts, scrap, and time in line with company policy.
• Maintain a clean, orderly work area, including equipment, tooling, and coolant tanks.
• Assist newer operators and follow all safety, housekeeping, and security procedures.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 0–2 years of CNC machining experience.
• Ability to understand and follow instructions in English.
• Capability to read and interpret blueprints and sketches.
• Basic mechanical aptitude.

Required skills

• CNC machine operation.
• Knowledge of feeds and speeds.
• Understanding of cutting tool selection and application.
