Transportation Coordination Specialist

About the role

The Transportation Coordination Specialist ensures smooth and compliant transport operations for LEONI’s manufacturing sites. You will be responsible for managing bus routes, company car licensing, and daily coordination with production, unions and external suppliers.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor transportation activities to guarantee adherence to LEONI policies, safety standards and governmental regulations.
• Update bus routes and stations in line with new infrastructure and union requests.
• Coordinate daily production plans, shortages, stock‑take and overtime with relevant departments.
• Arrange holiday transport services based on production needs.
• Issue renewals for company‑car licences, schedule periodic maintenance and handle accident/repair claims with insurers and service providers.
• Report daily bus attendance, departures, lateness and absences to stakeholders.
• Conduct regular bus audits (licences, cleanliness, overall condition) and maintain the transportation database.
• Review monthly invoices with accounting to ensure contract compliance.
• Supervise Transportation Representatives, assign tasks and provide performance feedback.
• Generate statistical reports on bus utilisation, budget, and COVID‑19 related costs.
• Liaise with external transport suppliers to resolve daily issues.

Required profile

• Proven experience in transportation or logistics coordination within an industrial environment.
• Strong knowledge of transport regulations, safety and environmental policies.
• Ability to work closely with production teams, unions and external vendors.
• Excellent organizational and reporting skills.
• Fluent in English; additional language skills are a plus.
