Tool Maintenance Technician

About the role

The Tool Maintenance Technician is responsible for ensuring the optimal performance and reliability of injection molds used in plastic or metal forming. This role involves thorough inspection, cleaning, and maintenance activities to keep production running smoothly.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct full inspections of molds, including cleaning and corrective maintenance.
• Repair or replace worn or damaged components.
• Verify cooling and ejection systems for proper operation.
• Perform functional testing before releasing molds to production.

Required profile

• Knowledge of injection molds (plastic or metal forming).
• Ability to disassemble and reassemble molds.
• Experience with preventive and corrective maintenance.
• Strong troubleshooting and repair skills.
• Understanding of hydraulic, pneumatic, and cooling systems.
• Familiarity with mold components such as cores, cavities, and ejector systems.
• Ability to read technical drawings and blueprints.
• Basic machining skills (grinding, polishing, fitting).
