Technical Product Manager - AI Products

About the role

Tappz is building the next generation of AI‑powered apps and needs a Technical Product Manager who can bridge strategy and execution. You will own the roadmap for our AI mobile and web products while keeping engineering processes sharp and structured.

Key responsibilities

• Own and drive the product roadmap for AI‑focused mobile and web applications.
• Define, prioritize, and translate AI capabilities into intuitive user‑facing features based on research, data, and business goals.
• Lead product discovery, ideation, and validation with real users.
• Maintain Linear (or similar) backlog hygiene, set up workflows, and ensure the board reflects reality.
• Write detailed technical specifications and acceptance criteria before development.
• Run sprint planning, cycle reviews, and retrospectives with engineering.
• Manage product‑to‑engineering handoff to prevent gaps.
• Set clear goals and success metrics for each feature and release.
• Communicate product vision, roadmap progress, and engineering status to stakeholders and leadership.

Required profile

• 5+ years of product management experience in a tech or AI‑driven company.
• Proven track record of shipping mobile and/or web products at scale.
• Experience owning and structuring a project‑management tool such as Linear or Jira.
• Strong ability to write detailed technical specs and acceptance criteria.
• Comfortable running engineering ceremonies (sprint planning, reviews, retrospectives).
• Experience with AI/LLM‑powered products is a strong plus.
• Technical background or ability to read and understand code at a high level.
• Data‑driven mindset with hands‑on analytics experience.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder‑management skills.
• High ownership, proactive, structured, and comfortable in a fast‑moving startup.
