Specialist Planner Production

About the role

LEONI is seeking a Specialist Planner Production to manage machine and assembly planning for its automotive wiring systems. The role ensures optimal use of cutting machines, balances workloads, and guarantees timely order fulfillment across production lines.

Key responsibilities

• Define and prioritize cutting orders, redistributing machine workloads due to preventive or unplanned maintenance.
• Develop urgent optimisation plans for critical customer requests, material shortages, or equipment constraints.
• Verify data integrity in systems such as Cutting Area Optimisation (CAO) and FORS, identifying missing crimp, routing, or tool information.
• Lead continuous‑improvement initiatives within the planning area.
• Route and prioritise order distribution to production lines and workstations after receiving plans from Value Chain Management.
• Adjust order sequences to accommodate urgent orders, material gaps, or equipment issues.
• Generate OTIF (On Time In Full) reports and monitor plan adherence, escalating deviations to supervisors.
• Initiate plan changes in response to external factors such as urgent customer orders or resource shortages.
• Participate in regular schedule‑adherence meetings with shift leaders, segment leaders, and Value Chain Management.

Required profile

• Minimum BTS (technical diploma) in a relevant field.
• At least 1 year of experience in production planning or capacity management.
• Strong communication skills and intercultural sensitivity.
• Ability to manage change, stay result‑oriented, and work independently.
• Self‑organisation and conflict‑management capabilities.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Cutting Area Optimisation (CAO) tools.
• Experience using FORS database systems.
• Knowledge of OTIF reporting and analysis.
