Site Reliability Engineer & Maintenance Manager

About the role

The Site Reliability Engineer & Maintenance Manager is responsible for ensuring high availability, reliability and safe operation of all plant equipment while complying with AkzoNobel standards and site HSE requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, supervise and coach the maintenance team, set daily work plans and allocate resources.
• Ensure proper execution and quality of corrective and preventive maintenance, including contractor work.
• Drive the maintenance planning programme and monitor adherence to schedules.
• Conduct incident investigations, root‑cause analysis and implement corrective actions.
• Maintain accurate records in the CMMS and track performance KPIs.
• Identify capital investment needs and support site investment plans.
• Participate in plant projects, risk assessments and commissioning activities.
• Manage the Management of Change (MOC) process and perform periodic equipment audits.

Required profile

• Engineering degree (Mechanical, Electrical, Electromechanical or equivalent).
• Proven maintenance leadership experience in a manufacturing or process‑industry environment.
• Strong people‑management skills, including coaching, planning and performance follow‑up.
• Solid understanding of HSE practices such as Life Saving Rules, Behaviour‑Based Safety and Process Safety Management.
• Ability to work in a structured, compliance‑driven multinational setting and drive continuous improvement.
