Site Production Head

About the role

Opella is seeking a Site Production Head to lead all production operations at its M&S site in Mégrine. You will be responsible for ensuring industrial performance, regulatory compliance, safety, and the achievement of cost, quality, and delivery targets.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee production activities, maintain schedules, and ensure volume, timeline, and quality targets are met.
• Identify and drive productivity improvements, lead Lean/Kaizen projects, and manage production KPIs.
• Lead, coach, and develop production teams, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
• Ensure compliance with GMP/GxP, HSE, and internal SOPs, supporting audits and safe operations.
• Manage resources, contribute to budgeting, and optimize use of machinery, materials, and manpower.
• Maintain strong communication with Supply Chain, QA, HSE, Maintenance, and Planning, representing Production in leadership meetings.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in Engineering, Industrial Management, Pharmacy, Chemistry or related field.
• 8–10+ years of experience in industrial/manufacturing environments with progressive leadership roles.
• Proven track record in leading operations, managing teams, and driving continuous improvement.
• Experience in pharma or consumer health manufacturing is an asset.

Required skills

• Strong knowledge of production management principles, including the 5 Ms (Methods, Machines, Materials, Manpower, Money).
• Solid understanding of GMP/GxP requirements and industrial quality systems.
• Experience with Lean, Kaizen, Six Sigma or other improvement methodologies.
