Senior Quality Assurance Automation Engineer

About the role

TLScontact is seeking a Senior Quality Assurance Automation Engineer to design and maintain automated test suites that ensure safe releases for visa and consular service platforms. The role works closely with engineering, product and release teams to improve testability, identify risks early and provide clear evidence of product quality.

Key responsibilities

• Design, implement and maintain automated UI, API, integration, mobile and end‑to‑end tests using modern frameworks.
• Build and evolve scalable automation frameworks, decide automation scope based on risk, and consolidate legacy test suites.
• Create internal tools for test data generation, environment setup, debugging and reporting, and integrate quality checks into CI/CD pipelines.
• Collaborate with developers to improve testability, contribute to risk‑based test strategies and own failure investigations across code, automation and infrastructure.
• Track and report metrics such as critical‑flow coverage, flaky‑test rate and execution time to support release readiness.

Required profile

• At least 3 years of professional experience in QA automation or comparable software engineering role.
• Strong experience with Playwright (or similar browser‑automation framework) and solid TypeScript/JavaScript programming skills.
• Professional English proficiency (B2 level or above) and ability to communicate risks to non‑technical stakeholders.
• Experience designing test frameworks, internal tools, and working with Git and CI/CD platforms (GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, Jenkins).
