Senior Microsoft Fabric & Power BI Data Engineer

About the role

We are looking for a Senior Microsoft Fabric – Power BI Data Engineer to design, build, and maintain reusable, product‑oriented data and analytics solutions. You will work hands‑on from data ingestion and Python‑based transformations to analytics‑ready models and Power BI semantic layers, ensuring high performance and usability.

Key responsibilities

• Develop end‑to‑end Power BI solutions, including semantic models, DAX measures, dashboards and reports.
• Design scalable analytical models (star schemas, conformed dimensions) that can be reused across multiple reports.
• Build production‑ready data pipelines in Microsoft Fabric Lakehouse, Dataflows Gen2, and Python/PySpark notebooks.
• Apply Medallion architecture (Bronze/Silver/Gold) and implement data quality checks.
• Adopt software‑engineering best practices: modular code, naming conventions, documentation, version control with Git/GitHub, and CI/CD for data and Power BI.
• Collaborate with business and technical stakeholders to deliver trusted data products.

Required profile

• 5+ years of experience in data, BI or analytics roles.
• Strong hands‑on expertise with Microsoft Fabric and Power BI (semantic modeling, DAX, reporting).
• Proficiency in Python for data transformation (Pandas, basic PySpark) and solid SQL skills.
• Solid understanding of data modelling, data warehouse/Lakehouse concepts, and engineering mindset applied to data.
