Senior Laravel Developer

About the role

Zippd is scaling its logistics platform and needs a senior Laravel developer to own and evolve the backend infrastructure. You will shape architecture, make critical technical decisions, and lead the implementation of high‑performance, scalable systems.

Key responsibilities

• Design and deploy clean‑architecture backend services using the latest Laravel version.
• Build, secure, and maintain production‑grade REST APIs and webhooks.
• Integrate third‑party services, handling authentication, error handling, and data consistency.
• Optimize MySQL databases, including indexing and performance tuning.
• Implement testing strategies with TDD using PHPUnit or Pest.
• Manage Redis and queue systems for high‑traffic workloads.
• Collaborate remotely with product, DevOps, and non‑technical stakeholders.

Required profile

• 5+ years of intensive Laravel development experience.
• 6‑7+ years of hands‑on API development and integration experience.
• Proven track record of building and maintaining high‑traffic production systems.
• Strong SQL and MySQL performance‑tuning skills.
• Demonstrated ability to provide architectural oversight and mentor junior developers.
• Fluent English communication skills for remote collaboration.
