SAP ABAP / Fiori Developer – BTP & Clean Core

About the role

You will join the SAP technical team supporting a DXC client, working on critical SAP S/4HANA and SAP BTP landscapes. The focus is on designing and delivering clean‑core extensions using modern SAP technologies while minimizing on‑stack changes.

Key responsibilities

• Design and build extensions with the ABAP RESTful Programming Model (RAP) and CDS views following clean‑core guidelines.
• Develop and maintain Fiori/UI5 applications, including Fiori Elements, using SAP Business Application Studio.
• Assess, design and implement user‑requested changes, preferring BTP‑based extensions over core modifications.
• Provide incident management, root‑cause analysis and work‑arounds for end‑user tickets.
• Create and expose OData v4 services via RAP; maintain legacy OData v2 services when needed.
• Configure and maintain the Fiori Launchpad (spaces & pages model).
• Develop integrations with SAP BTP Integration Suite, REST/SOAP APIs, and the SAP API Business Hub.
• Support key‑user extensibility (Fiori Elements, custom fields/logic) as an alternative to developer extensions.
• Participate in S/4HANA implementation, migration and clean‑core assessment projects.

Required profile

• 4+ years of SAP development experience (ABAP, ABAP OO, and/or Fiori/UI5).
• Strong knowledge of clean‑core principles and SAP extensibility framework.
• Ability to understand client requirements and propose optimal SAP solutions.
• Good communication skills and experience across multiple industry sectors.
