Sales Manager – Automotive Customer & Product Group

About the role

LEONI is seeking an experienced Sales Manager to lead customer and product‑group activities within the automotive sector. You will act as the main link between customers and internal teams, driving market development, opportunity identification and profitable growth.

Key responsibilities

• Provide market, competition and customer insights to support account‑plan development.
• Track customer requirements, RfQ pre‑conditions and project portfolios to uncover new business opportunities.
• Negotiate product changes, collect purchase orders and ensure proper administration by sales support.
• Contribute to strategic business planning, propose margin‑improvement measures and negotiate their implementation.
• Prepare and document negotiations for customer volume/demand arbitration to optimise production costs (S&OP, MPS).
• Gather customer feedback, monitor improvement actions and manage escalation status internally.
• Identify and categorise customer claims together with relevant stakeholders.
• Maintain accurate sales data in the designated systems.
• Set pricing, ensure timely cash collection and manage offer preparation (RFP, RFQ).
• Support product lifecycle and aftermarket business‑plan creation and maintenance.
• Validate claim information, edit and negotiate claim settlements.
• Represent the Sales department as a core team member in cross‑functional projects.

Required profile

• University degree in a technical field.
• Minimum 3 years of sales experience in the automotive industry.
• English proficiency at C1 level.
• Strong command of Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and CRM tools.
