Python Automation & SCM Engineer

About the role

Capgemini is looking for an engineer specialized in Python development, system integration and automation to help develop and evolve critical tools and applications. The role focuses on building synchronization and integration functions between TeamTrack/SBM, GitHub, Jira and Artifactory, improving access-rights management, maintaining existing Python components and supporting the migration and modernization of internal tooling.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Software Development
• 6+ years of experience in web development and SCM management
• Experience working in secure network environments
• Nice to have: experience in Agile/Scrum delivery environments

Required skills

• Advanced Python, including object-oriented programming and sound software design principles
• Strong knowledge of Git/GitHub, SCM concepts, branching workflows and software delivery processes
• Hands-on experience with Jenkins or comparable CI/CD platforms
• Designing and consuming REST APIs and web services
• SQL and practical experience with MySQL and/or PostgreSQL
• Scripting with Bash and/or PowerShell
• Ability to diagnose and resolve complex integration issues in enterprise environments

Nice to have

• TeamTrack/SBM and its SOAP web services, and SmartDoc
• GitHub REST API, Artifactory REST API, Tuleap and Jira integrations
• SVN and/or ClearCase
• Typst, PHP, JavaScript, Node.js or ColdFusion
