Production Supervisor

About the role

The Production Supervisor is responsible for ensuring that production volume, cost and quality targets are achieved while maintaining safe and efficient operations. This role coordinates material flows, inventory and staffing to meet daily production schedules.

Key responsibilities

• Ensures production volume, cost and quality targets are met.
• Organises material flows and inventory to reach production goals.
• Monitors production processes and staffing levels, implementing schedules, methods and processes.
• Identifies problems and proposes solutions or improvements to the production process.
• Implements and executes strategies within production operations.
• Maintains compliance with company policies and safety standards.
• Selects, develops and evaluates personnel to ensure efficient function operation.
• Directs semi‑skilled employees on predetermined work assignments.

Required profile

• Proven experience supervising semi‑skilled production staff.
• Ability to monitor production processes, staffing levels and material flows.
• Strong problem‑solving skills with a focus on process improvement.
• Knowledge of safety standards and company policies.
• Experience in organising production schedules and inventory management.
