Production Planner Specialist

About the role

The Production Planner Specialist is responsible for translating customer forecasts and orders into actionable production plans that ensure capacity adequacy and meet delivery commitments. You will work closely with supply chain, warehouse, and logistics teams to keep inventory balanced and shipments on‑time.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and continuously update production planning based on forecasts, order priorities, and urgent delivery requests.
• Communicate production plans and purchase orders to relevant stakeholders, adjusting for extra or firm orders.
• Monitor inventory levels, anticipate overstock or stock‑out situations, and modify plans accordingly.
• Track execution of the production plan, report gaps, and propose corrective actions.
• Develop delivery schedules that optimise transit, pick‑pack, and loading times.
• Create and maintain picking lists, record deliveries in the information system, and send Advanced Shipment Notices (ASN) to customers.
• Ensure On‑Time‑In‑Full (OTIF) performance and take remedial steps when needed.
• Generate logistics KPIs, analyse results, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Supply Chain Management.
• 1–3 years of experience as a Production Planner or similar role.
• Strong understanding of warehouse management, supply‑chain synchronization, inventory control, demand forecasting, and manufacturing processes.

Required skills

• Proficiency with SAP.
