Procurement Officer

About the role

The Procurement Officer will manage the end‑to‑end purchasing process, ensuring transparent, fair, and efficient procurement activities. You will source suppliers, negotiate contracts, and monitor performance to secure quality goods and services at competitive prices.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and evaluate potential suppliers to meet organisational needs.
• Develop and maintain strong supplier relationships, aligning them with business objectives.
• Coordinate with accounting to resolve invoicing queries and send purchase order copies to requesters.
• Respond to supplier inquiries, resolve issues, and ensure compliance with company policies.
• Negotiate contracts and agreements to obtain favourable terms, pricing, and delivery schedules.
• Create, process, and track purchase orders, ensuring accuracy and timely execution.
• Monitor order status, follow up on delays, and identify cost‑saving opportunities.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Logistics, Purchasing or a related field.
• 2–4 years of experience in procurement, purchasing or supply chain management.
• Strong analytical, negotiation and problem‑solving abilities.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• High level of integrity, professionalism and attention to detail.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Experience with ERP systems, preferably SAP.
• Good knowledge of procurement processes, sourcing strategies and contract management.
