Process/Manufacturing Automation Engineer

About the role

Valeo is seeking a Process/Manufacturing Automation Engineer to lead the industrialization of new production lines, improve machine and labor efficiency, and ensure the successful introduction of equipment in a high‑tech automotive environment.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the industrialization of the new P1 line and drive production efficiency improvements.
• Manage equipment introduction using IPROM, coordinate with suppliers, and define acceptance criteria.
• Design small tools, validate supplier proposals, and conduct pre‑acceptance and acceptance trials.
• Develop and execute process validation plans, participate in PFMEA and control‑plan activities.
• Monitor QCDM, analyse equipment performance, and implement cycle‑time reduction initiatives.
• Update routing information in the information system and support production technicians with training and problem‑solving.
• Participate in Lean design workshops, SPV workshops, and ensure compliance with safety, environment, and 5S standards.

Required profile

• Proven experience in industrialization of manufacturing lines and equipment validation.
• Strong knowledge of Lean methodologies, PFMEA, control‑plan creation, and QCDM monitoring.
• Ability to work closely with suppliers, lead workshops, and drive continuous improvement.
• Commitment to safety, environmental procedures, and 5S workplace organization.
