About the role

Autoliv is seeking a Process Engineering Technician to support the development and optimisation of manufacturing processes for safety‑critical components such as seatbelts, airbags and steering wheels. You will work in a collaborative environment focused on quality, efficiency and continuous improvement.

Key responsibilities

  • Monitor and improve process performance, quality and efficiency on the shop floor.
  • Maintain and update process documentation including PFMEA, control plans, SWIs and process flows.
  • Lead continuous‑improvement, line‑balancing and scrap‑reduction projects.
  • Troubleshoot manufacturing issues and support 8D/root‑cause analysis activities.
  • Implement Poka‑Yoke and other quality‑improvement solutions.
  • Support new product launches, machine acceptance and engineering change implementation.
  • Collaborate cross‑functionally to meet productivity, quality and operational targets.
  • Participate in audits and ensure compliance with manufacturing standards.
  • Define production standards, capacities and work methods.
  • Identify training needs and assist in workforce development.

Required profile

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electromechanical, Textile Engineering or a related field.
  • Minimum three years of experience in a process‑engineer, process‑technician or manufacturing‑engineer role.
  • Experience in the automotive industry is highly preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of manufacturing and assembly processes, including process studies, time studies and line balancing.
  • Proven ability to work with industrial automation, robotics, vision systems and screwing/torquing technologies.

Required skills

  • PFMEA, control plans, SWIs and process‑flow documentation.
  • 8D root‑cause analysis and Poka‑Yoke implementation.
  • Automotive quality standards (AIAG/VDA, IATF), MSA, SPC.
  • Performance indicators such as OEE, DPMU, LMPU and process capability analysis.
  • Hydraulic and pneumatic system knowledge.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and CAD software.
