Pricing Science Lead

About the role

Syntaxia is seeking a Pricing Science Lead to own the end‑to‑end delivery of data‑driven pricing optimization solutions. You will guide customer engagements from data exploration through implementation, launch, and post‑launch support, translating complex analytics into clear pricing guidance.

Key responsibilities

• Manage pricing science workstreams across customer projects, from initial data exploration to go‑live and hypercare.
• Participate in customer workshops, converting outcomes into analytical and configuration tasks.
• Design, configure, and validate solutions for list‑price optimization, negotiation guidance, price guidance, and custom models.
• Conduct exploratory data analysis to identify distributions, outliers, and quality issues that inform segmentation and model design.
• Define and implement segmentation rules, features, model structures, business rules, and objective functions.
• Assess historical performance, identify pricing opportunities, and prepare dashboards and presentation materials.
• Refine models and business rules based on customer feedback, balancing impact, risk, usability, and operational constraints.
• Document assumptions, design decisions, and operating guidelines for post‑launch maintenance.
• Support pre‑sales activities with data exploration, prototype analysis, demos, and proof‑of‑concept materials.
• Share project learnings across the team to continuously improve methodologies.

Required profile

• Proven experience leading pricing or analytics projects in a client‑facing environment.
• Strong commercial judgment and ability to translate technical results into business outcomes.
• Excellent communication skills, capable of explaining complex concepts to non‑technical stakeholders.
• Self‑starter who can work independently and manage multiple workstreams.
• Ability to incorporate feedback and iterate on solutions quickly.
