Operations Manager – Production, Maintenance & Launch

About the role

Lear is launching its second plant and first greenfield facility in Bizerte, Tunisia, within the Thermal Comfort Systems (TCS) division. The Operations Manager will lead Production, Maintenance, and Launch functions, ensuring seamless integration and operational excellence as the new plant ramps up.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee daily production, maintenance, and new‑product launch activities.
• Implement APQP/PPAP processes for smooth product introductions.
• Drive continuous improvement using Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and Kaizen.
• Monitor key performance indicators such as OEE, throughput, first‑pass yield, and equipment uptime.
• Develop and manage departmental budgets, control expenditures, and allocate resources efficiently.
• Lead, mentor, and develop cross‑functional teams to achieve high performance.
• Ensure compliance with IATF 16949, ISO 14001, and health & safety regulations.

Required profile

• Proven leadership experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong knowledge of financial budgeting and resource allocation.
• Ability to coach and develop high‑performing teams.
• Track record of meeting production targets and maintaining equipment reliability.
