Operations Manager

About the role

Sika is seeking an experienced Operations Manager to lead industrial projects and execute the Operational Group’s strategy across its manufacturing sites. You will be responsible for ensuring plant performance, cost efficiency, regulatory compliance, and continuous improvement in a global specialty chemicals environment.

Key responsibilities

• Manage all plant operations within the approved budget and align them with corporate objectives.
• Establish, monitor, and continuously improve the plant management system.
• Oversee corrective and preventive maintenance processes to optimise overall costs.
• Adapt the organisational structure to meet plant goals and coordinate human and material resources.
• Lead continuous‑improvement initiatives and promote a risk‑based, safety‑first culture.
• Supervise daily warehouse activities, including sales, purchasing, inventory, and safety compliance.
• Train teams, ensure operational mastery, and support audits with corrective actions.
• Drive performance of material production sites (concrete, cement, aggregates, precast) and optimise logistics, quality, and environmental targets.

Required profile

• Master’s degree (Bac + 5) in Engineering.
• Minimum 8 years of operational project management experience, preferably in an industrial setting.
• At least 5 years of supervisory experience with performance evaluation and team management.
• Strong multicultural and interpersonal communication skills.
• Proven ability to analyse problems, develop innovative solutions, and drive change initiatives.
• Fluency in English.
