Network & Infrastructure Engineer (Level 2)

About the role

Novelus Team seeks a Network and Infrastructure Engineer (Level 2) to maintain reliable operation of its infrastructure and networks, resolve escalated incidents, and execute controlled maintenance and recovery activities. The role involves administering servers, network devices, and backup platforms while collaborating with cybersecurity and other teams.

Key responsibilities

• Administer Windows/Linux servers, Active Directory, DNS/DHCP, virtualization, storage and backup platforms, maintaining system health and scheduled operations.
• Operate and troubleshoot LAN/WAN, switches, routers, Wi‑Fi, VPN and connectivity services, implementing approved network and firewall changes.
• Own escalated incidents through diagnosis, service restoration, validation and closure, coordinating with L3, OEM, ISP and vendor support.
• Investigate infrastructure alerts, monitor CPU, memory, storage and bandwidth utilization, and recommend preventive actions.
• Assess and implement patches, upgrades and configuration changes using impact assessments, maintenance windows, testing and rollback procedures.
• Monitor backup success, investigate failures, verify protection coverage and perform restore tests and DR exercises.

Required profile

• 5–8 years of experience in enterprise infrastructure with at least 3 years handling L2 incidents.
• Strong knowledge in networking (TCP/IP, VLANs, routing, switching, Wi‑Fi, VPN, DNS/DHCP) and systems (Windows Server, Active Directory, Linux administration).
• Preferred certifications: CCNA (or equivalent) and CCNP Enterprise for networking specialist; relevant vendor training for operating systems, virtualization and backup platforms.
• Experience with virtualization, SAN/NAS storage, backup administration, restore testing, and understanding of RPO/RTO.
• Familiarity with security practices such as system hardening, patching, vulnerability remediation, MFA and least‑privilege access.
