National Consultant for Gender‑Sensitive Climate‑Health Toolkit

About the role

The International Organization for Migration (IOM) in Tunisia seeks a National Consultant (type B) to support the Migration Health Division (MHD) in strengthening health system resilience to climate change. The consultant will develop gender‑sensitive information materials, design training curricula, and facilitate stakeholder validation to ensure inclusive, climate‑responsive health services for vulnerable populations.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct a rapid desk review of existing climate‑sensitive health materials and develop gender‑sensitive information toolkits for health practitioners in Arabic and French.
• Design a comprehensive training curriculum, including modules on climate‑sensitive diseases, mental health, and inclusive care, with a Training‑of‑Trainers component aligned to MoH and WHO standards.
• Organize and lead stakeholder consultations and validation workshops with the Ministry of Health, UN agencies, NGOs, and community representatives, incorporating feedback into final deliverables.
• Support dissemination of finalized materials through digital and physical channels and provide recommendations for integration and sustainability within the national health system.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in public health, environmental health, climate change, or a related field from an accredited institution.
• Minimum of five years of professional experience in public health, health communication, or climate‑change‑health projects.
• Proven experience developing training curricula and technical materials for health professionals.
• Demonstrated experience working with UN agencies, governments, or NGOs and integrating gender‑sensitive, inclusive approaches in public‑health programming.
