Manufacturing Engineer – Automotive Assembly

About the role

This Manufacturing Engineer position covers the planning and implementation of assembly and electronic production processes in the automotive sector. The engineer prepares feasibility studies and concepts, defines production requirements with development and quality teams, and supports the relocation of production lines to foreign operations.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare feasibility studies and concepts, presenting them to customers when needed
• Detailed planning of assembly and electronic processes, including layout and logistics planning (customer or supplier packaging)
• Define product and design requirements for production, working with development and quality teams (e.g. FMEA)
• Create production specifications, process documentation and operating/test equipment standards
• Combine operating resource costs with the payback rule for automation solutions
• Procure assembly equipment, handle supplier acceptance and plant approval
• Carry out MTM / UAS time studies and manage workflow and master data in SAP
• Verify process functionality and traceability in SAP
• Relocate and deliver production lines to foreign operations with intensive on-site support
• Develop demand and capacity overviews for the production line
• Collaborate on RUN I-III and PEP phase changes

Required profile

• Degree in Industrial, Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering or a related technical field
• 5 years of professional experience in manufacturing engineering or industrialization within the automotive sector
• Fluent English (mandatory) and strong communication skills
• Willingness to travel for production line relocation and on-site support
