Maintenance Section Leader

About the role

The Maintenance Section Leader is responsible for directing all maintenance activities across the plant to ensure equipment reliability, operational efficiency, and alignment with production targets. This role acts as the primary bridge between maintenance and operations, fostering safety, performance, and continuous improvement on every shift.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and support Maintenance Supervisors on all shifts, ensuring consistent performance and smooth handovers.
• Coordinate shift communication to maintain operational continuity.
• Align maintenance priorities with production needs and overall plant objectives.
• Oversee preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance planning and execution.
• Monitor and improve KPIs such as downtime, MTBF, MTTR, cost, and backlog.
• Enforce safety standards, including LOTO and permit‑to‑work systems.
• Manage maintenance resources, including workforce allocation and spare‑parts usage.
• Drive continuous improvement through root‑cause analysis, TPM, lean practices, and audit initiatives.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or equivalent technical qualification.
• 5+ years of experience in industrial maintenance, including supervisory roles.
• Strong leadership and team‑coordination skills in a multi‑shift environment.
• Experience using CMMS for maintenance planning and tracking.
• Proficiency in English and French with solid analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
