Machining NPI Engineer

About the role

Pursuit Aerospace is seeking a Machining NPI Engineer to lead the industrialisation of new aircraft engine components. You will translate product designs into robust, repeatable machining processes that meet strict aerospace quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement new machining products and manufacturing processes.
• Define machining sequences, operations, tooling and fixture requirements.
• Prepare work instructions, process documentation, and tooling specifications.
• Support CNC programming and process development using Mastercam and Siemens NX.
• Validate and qualify tooling, fixtures, and machining equipment.
• Conduct FAI, capability studies, and APQP phase documentation.
• Run machining trials, process validation, and production runs.
• Troubleshoot machining issues and provide corrective solutions.
• Assist shop‑floor personnel during product launch and support non‑conforming product reviews.
• Drive continuous improvement, cost‑saving, Kaizen and EHS initiatives.

Required profile

• Engineering degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing or Industrial Engineering.
• Up to 5 years of experience in machining or manufacturing environments.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
• Good level of English and effective communication skills.

Required skills

• CNC machining processes (milling, EDM, turning).
• Interpretation of technical drawings, GD&T and tooling designs.
• CNC programming and CAM software – Mastercam and/or Siemens NX.
