Local Security Associate

About the role

The Local Security Associate supports the Senior Field Security Associate in implementing and coordinating security services for the IOM mission in Tunisia, ensuring high‑quality and accurate security operations.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor security guards, walk‑thru devices, CCTV systems and perimeter access control.
• Maintain and report on security equipment functionality and inventory.
• Conduct interior patrols, fire‑safety observations and report any breaches or unusual activity.
• Assist in security assessments, evacuation plans, emergency drills and contingency procedures.
• Prepare regular security reports and briefings for staff and UN partners.

Required profile

• High school diploma with five years of security experience, or a bachelor’s degree with at least three years in security, law‑enforcement, military or police contexts.
• Fluency in French and English (oral and written); Arabic knowledge is desirable.
• Ability to work under pressure with minimal supervision.

Required skills

• Operation of walk‑thru devices and CCTV monitoring.
• Security equipment maintenance and inventory tracking.
• Preparation of security reports and briefings.
