Lighting Calculation and DIALux Specialist

About the role

Scope Merge is building a dedicated design and technical team in Tunis for a Dubai studio that works on luxury residential and hospitality projects across the Gulf. The role is a full‑time position focused on lighting calculations, requiring deep understanding of results and the ability to identify technical inconsistencies.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare complete lighting calculations in DIALux Evo for villas, hotels, restaurants, offices, retail, landscape, facades and external areas.
• Build accurate project models from AutoCAD and PDF drawings and import IES and LDT photometric files.
• Position and orient luminaires, set calculation surfaces and grids, and run horizontal and vertical illuminance, average, minimum, maximum lux and uniformity analyses.
• Conduct UGR and glare analysis where applicable and produce false‑colour, isolux diagrams and professional reports.
• Compare luminaires, optics, wattages and mounting positions to optimise fixture quantities and coordinate results with AutoCAD lighting layouts.

Required profile

• 3 to 5 years of professional lighting calculation experience.
• Advanced or expert level proficiency with DIALux Evo.
• Strong knowledge of illuminance, luminance, uniformity, UGR, beam angles, reflectance, maintenance factors, emergency lighting and international standards.
• Experience with international lighting consultants, manufacturers or UAE and GCC projects is a strong advantage.
• Good English communication skills.
